Technology continues to provide great convenience in production processes as in all areas of our lives. Now, when planning a production, we list the materials that we really need for production rather than the kar eye decision ”or measurements of the experienced employee ve and perform the calculations that we will complete the production with minimum loss and loss.
Today, the starting point of the production processes starts with the process of creating recipes for that production. In the simplest terms, the recipe, the product you will produce; components and raw materials.
In the Fabricator production management system, which allows you to manage all your production processes starting with production starting from planning, BOMs are accepted as the starting point of a production.
How to Use BOM?
The use of the bill starts with the production company listing all the raw materials used in its production. For example, a manufacturer producing a table may generate a bill for the table; wood, nails and polish raw materials, should be added to the Table Recipe. During this process, the stock unit and expenditure unit of the raw material to be used in production must be entered correctly.
Fabricator users can determine a unit independent from the units in stock and complete the production process through that unit. For table example; They can define the nail defined by the bag unit in their stocks as units in the Fabricator interface and complete the productions in units. The raw material exchange in stocks will continue to be made in sachets, the unit of the raw material itself.
How to Bill of Material is Prepared?
We will show you how to prepare a bill with an example of creating a bill at the Fabricator interface. First of all, we would like to show you the blank screen of the bill creation screen that will appear in the Fabricator interface.
In the bill creation screen;
- In the Recipe Description field, you must type the name you will give to the bill.
- In the Product field, you must enter the name of the product you are going to produce with this bill.
- In the Amount field, you must enter the amount to be produced from the product to be produced with this recipe.
- In the Bill of Materials field; you must write down the raw materials you will use to produce the product.
Note: The unit converter feature in the Fabricator allows you to define different units that will only be valid in the Fabricator interface and specify those units in the quantity field in the recipe. In this way, you can manage your production through the units you need.
Now let us show you an example of a ready-made bill. In this example, let us assume that we are a cafe that serves in a popular part of the city. One of the popular products we sell in our shop is lemonade. We need the following products for lemonade production.
In other words, we use the raw materials listed above during the production of lemonade. While adding lemonade to our stocks, these three raw materials fall from our stocks in certain quantities. The recipe for the lemonade product in this example should be prepared as follows.
